Sustainability and Us

As part of our new branding and refresh we felt the need to make more of an effort to address some of the major issues affecting our environment. The textile industry is responsible for water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and landfill.

Fast fashion - the constant provision of new styles at very low prices - has led to a big increase in the quantity of clothes produced and thrown away.

As a small business we have always had a smaller impact but there's always room for improvement. We make items to order reducing our fabric waste and donate any old stock to charities. We use plastic free packaging and often repurposed packing materials and now we are using predominantly more natural fabrics in the production of our bowties.

Our Tartan range is mainly made from pure wool woven in Scotland and our cotton based fabrics come from companies who use sustainable methods of production and/or meet the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). We've included the individual product info on each of our listings to give you more knowledge of it's content. We will be aiming to build and improve on this as we go forward and always welcome any input you may have!

PACKAGING INFO:

Our bowties, pocket squares and cufflinks all come in presentation gift boxes that are fully recyclable and made using approx. 40% recycled content. Our shipping envelopes and boxes are are also fully recyclable. We do not send paper documents such as invoices etc unless requested or necessary.

We hope this gives you a little more insight into our products and processes but we're always happy to have a chat and take questions or suggestions, so do get in touch if you have any!

Thank you for reading!
